The Charlotte Hornets have quite a challenge ahead of them as they are expected to be ejected from the field. Charlotte and the Atlanta Hawks will square off in a Southeast Division battle at 5 p.m. ET Sunday at State Farm Arena. Atlanta will strut after a win while the Hornets stumble after a loss.
The game between Charlotte and the New Orleans Pelicans last Friday wasn’t a total blowout, but with Charlotte falling 124-112 at home, it was about to turn into one. Power forward P. J. Washington had a pretty forgettable match, playing for 29 minutes with.
Meanwhile, Atlanta managed to pull off a solid victory over the Orlando Magic last Friday, winning 108-98. Among those leading the charge for the Hawks was the power forward John Collinswho scored a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds.
Charlotte’s loss took them down to 1-1 while Atlanta’s win took them down to 2-0. If Atlanta wants to win, they’ll have to focus on stopping the Hornets small forward Gordon Haywardwho had 26 points and seven assists, and shooter terry rozier, who almost dropped a triple-double with 23 points, 11 cents and eight rebounds. We will see if they are up to it or not.
